We had the pleasure of joining Harley Morenstein, Lemme Kno, Amir, Mike Santos & the whole Epic Meal Time family for a Filipino episode. The goal was to create an epic Filipino meal with a mix of the classics. We started the day at Cuisine de Manille picking up a Lechon, Pork Adobo, Pancit Palabok and a few other authentic dishes. Harley & Lemme Kno got to try Dinuguan (Blood Pudding), Babinka & Halo-Halo for the first time.
We then made our way down to Fiesta-Pilipino where we picked up some Filipino snacks and the must try Balut. Balut is an egg that’s a little more developed than those you crack open for your daily omelette. It’s known as one of the Philippines’ most infamous street foods.
Back to Epic Meal Time headquarters, Chef Amir and the rest of the team were waiting with a giant Pandesal bun and maybe one of the greatest ideas ever, Adobo Bacon. Lemme Kno did his thing cutting up the Lechon and the team came together to create the most EPIC Filipino meal to date. Filipino Cheesesteak!
